"Mural Art as Reflection on Diversity and Shared Production of Knowledge in a Posthuman Conception"
abstract
This research and extension project proposes the production of an artistic mural, a video and scientific articles, having as object of study the ethnic groups and cultures of Palmas (Paraná, Brazil). These productions intend to present the concept of Shared Production of Knowledge and Culture - in a local/global sense, considering the concept of critical posthumanism. The intention is to create the mural, video and texts, from the dialogue between the ethnic groups of studies that built and live in this city: Indigenous, African, European, Japanese and Syrian-Lebanese descendants, coordinated by researchers from the Languages and Visual Arts courses of IFPR. Theoretically, this study focuses on the critical posthumanism (Braidotti, 2013, FERRANDO, 2013), and also on the methodology of Shared Production of Knowledge proposed by the Diversitas Core from the Philosophy, Languages and Human Sciences Colleges - University of São Paulo (USP - SP). In this sense, the Shared Production of Knowledge "questions the rigid and formal structures of scientific knowledge production, which chooses the academic narratives as the knowledge protagonist" (BAIRON, 2012, s/p). The research proposal can be considered an extension of the Mural held in 2016, "Ethnic and cultural formation of the city of Palmas”.
