The NY Research Group was funded in 2014 in New York City (US); it has been active since then.
The NY Posthuman Research Group covers different areas of expertise: posthumanism, transhumanism, antihumanism, metahumanism, new materialisms, non-human personhood, digital humanities, among others. We hold seasonal Summits in these Universities in New York City (US): New York University (NYU), since 2015; Columbia University and The New School (2014). Founders (in alphabetic order) Dr. Francesca Ferrando, Dr. Kevin LaGrandeur, Dr. Yunus Tuncel. Academic Board (in alphabetic order) Dr. Francesca Ferrando, Dr. Kevin LaGrandeur, Dr. Farzad Mahootian, Dr. Jim McBride, Dr. Yunus Tuncel. Where & How We meet once every academic season (Fall and Spring) at NYU. Invited speakers offer different takes on the posthuman (10 minutes each), followed by a 10 minutes discussion.
