Student Committee 2016

NYU-Liberal studies

A Committee of Liberal Studies Students and Alumni
is calling for NYU Students who are interested in sharing their visions of the futures.
This is a call to explore the futures, as students of the Global Network University. We invite you to share your thoughts about the years, decades or millennia to come. What do you see and what don't you see? What changes are needed and how can we accomplish them? We usually study the past to understand the future, what about studying the futures to understand the past? Let's now bring into the conversation the “now”. As we evolve, what will current humans be remembered for? The futures belongs to everyone.
Submit your proposal now to join the posthuman conversation. In the frame of the Glocal Symposium “Posthuman Futures”, to be held at NYU on April 22nd, some LS students, and alumni would like to organize a student event on posthuman futures.

AREAS OF INTERESTS
We are calling for artists, philosophers, thinkers, scientists, musicians and composers, actors, dancers, linguists, social activists, cyborgs, engineers, biologists, theologians and anyone envisioning futures now.

DEADLINE
Please send your proposal (no more than 150 words) plus a bio (no more than 50 words) by March 25th to nyu.futures@gmail.com
