DANCE - Visions of the Futures
Nomads through spaces and times. The futures are already here, in our visions, in our behaviours, in our dances. We would like to invite you to share what you see. What is your vision of the futures? In this nomadic project, which will include workshops and performances in different countries of the world, we will create an archive of visions of the futures to understand our hopes, our expectations and our concerns about the futures. This project is not only aimed to achieve an aesthetic and artistic result, but also a political and social reflection.
We would like to invite you to work on this topic for the year 2016. For instance, all the dancers who are interested in being part of this project are invited to use this topic “Visions of the Futures” in the whole range of their work, from their professional performances to their students showcases. Their results shall be video-recorded and uploaded on youtube together with a brief explanation of the vision they are portraying (no more than 100 words).
We will collect all the videos on the website www.posthumans.org and start an archive of visions of the futures, which will be developed through different medias (dance, writing, video art, music, philosophy etc.). The results will be finally presented and discussed in an international and interdisciplinary conference. All the participants will be invited to attend.
